Description
What type of wine it is
Satèn Bellavista is a Brut wine produced using the Traditional Method in Franciacorta. Obtained exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it presents a quartz yellow colour with bright golden reflections. In the glass, it expresses an abundant foam and a very fine perlage, revealing aromas of ripe citrus, orange blossom, yellow fruit and toasted hazelnut. On the palate, the silky and creamy texture is paired with a fresh acidity and a clear mineral tension, for a persistent and harmonious finish.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in numerous parcels located in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta, Lombardy. The vineyards, Guyot-trained with a density of five thousand vines per hectare, have an average age of about thirty years. Rigorous yield management for the Chardonnay ensures the integrity of the fruit. The manual harvest takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September, selecting the bunches at the perfect degree of ripeness to preserve the aromatic elegance typical of Bellavista.
How it is produced
After careful selection, pressing extracts only the free-run juice. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and in small oak barrels. The cuvée is created from a careful blend that integrates a portion of reserve wines. Secondary fermentation in the bottle follows the principles of the Traditional Method, accompanied by manual riddling. This is followed by a long ageing on the lees of about four years, which provides structural breadth and concludes with a Brut dosage, ensuring a dynamic drinking experience.
