Description
What type of wine it is
Franciacorta Extra Brut Alma Rosé Bellavista is a zero-dosage Rosé from Lombardy that expertly combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Produced according to the Traditional Method, it is distinguished by a bright colour and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet expresses fresh notes of jasmine, white elderberry, white-fleshed fruit, medicinal herbs and hints of citrus. On the palate, it is vibrant, with an energetic and dynamic sip, excellent depth and persistent freshness.
Where it comes from
The grapes destined for this blend are grown in Lombardy, within the Franciacorta area, and come from numerous historic crus including Brede, Budrio, Casello, Casotte, Cinquino, Favento, Lechi, Sasso, Pagulle and Valli. In these vineyards, the vines have an average age of thirty years and are grown using the spurred cordon system, maintaining a high planting density. Yields per hectare are managed with precision to encourage the territorial expressiveness of every bunch.
How it is produced
After manual harvesting and soft pressing to extract the free-run must, the base wines mature partly in steel and partly in oak barrels. Secondary fermentation in the bottle follows the Traditional Method, with ageing on the lees for approximately twenty-six months accompanied by traditional manual riddling (remuage). The final disgorgement is strictly zero dosage, with no added dosage liqueur, to preserve an essential, dry and well-defined flavour profile.
