Description
What kind of wine it is
Albert Boxler Grand Cru Brand Gewurztraminer is an aromatic still white wine that fully expresses the character of the Gewurztraminer grape variety. Visually, it displays a straw yellow hue. The bouquet reveals well-defined fruity aromas, enriched by spicy notes and subtle mineral hints. On the palate, it is pleasant, balanced and has a long finish, supported by a solid structure and elegant precision of flavour.
Where it comes from
The grapes are sourced from selected plots in the Grand Cru Brand of Turckheim and from specific sections of the Grand Cru Sommerberg, in Alsace. Production is overseen by Albert Boxler, a family estate with a winemaking history dating back to 1672. Now led by Jean Boxler, the winery maintains an authentic artisan approach, working the vineyards with meticulous methods to enhance the nuances of each individual plot.
How it is produced
The process is based on classic vinification that combines the use of stainless steel and wooden barrels. Stainless steel preserves the purity of the varietal aromas, while the barrels add volume and define the structure of the flavour. At the table, this wine stands out for its versatility: it is ideal as an aperitif and pairs harmoniously with fish dishes, white meats, poultry, vegetarian preparations and cheese selections.
