Terenzuola is a winery seated in Fosdinovo (MS) with a 22 hectares vineyard estate which develops across different areas of rare beauty, between Liguria and Tuscany. From Colli di Luni to the Candia fields lying in the shade of the marble quarries placed between Massa and Carrara, up to the heroic terraces in the Cinque Terre.
The farm's vineyards dwell in a track left by an ancient tradition dating back to Roman times. Restoring the intense planting system as it was done way before farm tractors were introduced, when people used to go among the rows of vines with donkeys or oxes, has led Ivan to the decision to plant 8500 grape vine strains per hectare and to actually multiply the rows' density by three. The close proximity pushes the plants to compete with one another to search sustenance into the depths of the soil, becoming stronger and stronger and less in need of attentions.
