Zones de culture Cococciola is an Italian grape variety from the east coast of southern Italy, specifically Abruzzo and northern Puglia. Cococciola is now found more and more in varietal wines produced and sold under Abruzzo's various IGT titles (Colli Aprutini and Colline Teatine IGTs).
Histoire There is no particular news except for those of Viala and Vermorel (1909) which indicates it as Abduzzo's vine.

Caractéristiques du vin obtenu à partir de ce cépage The wine produced has a pale straw yellow with greenish, almost crystal hues. Fruity aroma with citrus, delicate hints of green apple and white flowers. It has a lingering and very fresh balanced taste, dry, savoury and with a good structure. it can be successfully matched with hors d’oeuvres and raw fish dishes, all starter and main fish dishes, fresh cheeses.
Notes Resistance to parasites and other adversities: Leaves exhibit poor resistance to mildew, the average of the acorns, and the average resistance to oyosis and rotten grapes.
