Description
Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC, still organic white wine, 13% ABV, produced by Le Vigne di Zamo. 0.75 L bottle, 2022 vintage. A Friulano made in Manzano, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, from 50-year-old vines, a tribute to the history and tradition of this land. The whole grapes are directly pressed in nitrogen; the resulting must ferments in stainless steel at a temperature of 18-20°C. The wine ages sur-lies in stainless steel for 10 months without racking and is bottled in July. It then ages in bottle for another year before being released for sale. Its importance is evident on the nose due to the complexity of its aromas: from ripe tropical fruit, to citrus, to almond paste. A deep and brilliant golden yellow. Round and without sharp edges, on the palate it powerfully presents a lovely hint of Golden Delicious apple and exotic fruit.

The company is fortunate to draw from three different terroirs that give the wines different and unique characters and personalities. The Zamò family has been cultivating the land for centuries: first the grandfather, then the father and finally the sons, all united under the same goal: cultivating the land and making wine as a sign of civilisation and respect for their origins and traditions,
In addition to great white wines, including Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, the company focuses on red wines to maintain the indigenous grape varieties and to pursue new projects and innovations. For years, the Zamò family has been conducting cultivation with sustainability-conscious methods, and in 2021 they obtained the first Certified Organic grape harvest. Read more
