Description

What kind of wine it is

Gabe Prosecco Blu Anatra Brut is a Venetian sparkling wine with a pale straw yellow colour, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. Made from a blend of Glera and Pinot Bianco, it stands out for its fragrant aromatic profile, featuring notes of white peach and yellow apple, accompanied by delicate floral nuances. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and balanced, characterised by a pleasant liveliness and good acidity. The sip develops with a slight savouriness, finishing on a delicately spiced note. Thanks to its excellent drinkability, this Brut sparkling wine is the ideal companion for a convivial aperitif, pairing harmoniously with cured meats, cheeses and dishes based on white fish.

Where it comes from

This Prosecco Treviso originates from vineyards located on the Treviso plain. The vines grow at around one hundred metres above sea level on clay soils, trained using the double arched cane system. The agronomic management involves careful attention culminating in the harvest at the end of September. These specific pedoclimatic conditions favour the optimal development of the grapes, allowing for a vivid aromatic expression that translates into an extremely clean, fruity and genuine profile.

How it is produced

In the winery, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, followed by static decantation of the must. The primary fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to preserve the integrity of the aromas. Subsequently, the wine matures for at least three months on the fine lees, acquiring softness and roundness without sacrificing freshness. The sparkling phase follows the Charmat Method, through a secondary fermentation in large tanks for at least thirty days. This process, aimed at enhancing the clarity of flavour, ensures a fine and persistent perlage, delivering a clean and lively sip.

History and Curiosities

The GABE Prosecco Blu Anatra Brut was created in 2024 from the vision of Gabriella Benedetta Vettoretti, heir to a solid Venetian winemaking tradition developed among the hills of Cartizze. This alluring Charmat Method sparkling wine takes its name from the fascinating iridescent feathers of the male mallard, a symbol of irresistible elegance. The harmonious blend of Glera and Pinot Bianco grapes gives rise to a glass with a fine and persistent perlage, capable of enchanting the palate with fresh aromas of white peach and delicate floral notes, perfect for any toast.

"GABE is me, Gabriella Benedetta Vettoretti, born in the hills of Cartizze, from a family of winegrowers and supplier. My life and career have always been inextricably linked to wine." (Gabriella Benedetta Vettoretti)

After working in the family winery, I decided to undertake a new professional journey which allows me to share my know-how and my experience with other wineries and customers, bringing my ideas about wine to fruition. In this journey, Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG is still protagonist. It is a journey of new horizons, lands, people and products. This is why GABE had two souls: TENUTE and SELEZIONI."
