Campo alla Sughera winery was established in 1988 by the Knauf family, German entrepreneurs who have been in Tuscany for years. Today, the company is a point of reference in the Bolgheri area, led by an extraordinary team of oenologists under the supervision of Stéphane Derenoncourt since 2017, who began experimentation on the vocation of the vineyards for microplots and in the cellar on the micro vinification of grapes from individual batches.
The marly soil of the hills, rich in precious minerals, and the proximity to the sea give the wines an extraordinary aromatic evolution, balance and elegance. Management in the vineyard is entirely manual and sustainable. The winery was designed to use only gravity to move the grapes and must, excluding the use of mechanical pumps during the process.
