Ockfen is an old wine village in the valley of the Saar, a tributary of the Moselle, where he is one of the steepest vineyards, the 'Ockfener Bockstein, facing south, and is characterized by rocky soils from perfect drainage where the vines can climb up to an ancient forest that with its moisture mitigates water stress during periods of drought. |
| Vinification |
The grapes are gently pressed and the must is fermented in large stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the delicate aromas to the maximum fine and original Riesling. |
| Affinage |
The wine then matures in traditional barrels of 1,000 liters and is bottled after a light filtration. |
