Description

What kind of wine it is

Vietti Barolo Brunate is a still red wine that expresses the authentic character of Nebbiolo in Piedmont. In the glass, it displays a ruby red colour, with a deep aromatic profile enriched by notes of dried roses, liquorice, spices and truffle. On the palate, it reveals a full body, supported by a powerful structure and well-balanced silky tannins. The tasting offers hints of ripe fruit and a very persistent finish, ideal for accompanying roasts, game and mature cheeses.

Where it comes from

This wine originates from a single plot located in the renowned Brunate cru, in the municipality of La Morra. The vineyard boasts old vines trained using the Guyot method, rooted in calcareous-clay soil. This geological matrix imparts a profound gustatory structure and marked aromatic complexity. The vocation of the site outlines a precise territorial identity, translating the essence of the Piedmont hills into an emblematic profile of Barolo.

How it is produced

Vinification begins in steel vats in contact with the skins, including a cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation involves daily pump-overs and the submerged cap technique for optimal extraction. After malolactic fermentation, maturation continues for thirty-two months between barriques and large oak casks. Bottling without filtration ensures the preservation of the material richness and elegance of this red.
