Description

What kind of wine it is

The still white wine Offida Pecorino Villa Angela, produced by Velenosi, is an authentic expression of the Offida Pecorino denomination. In the glass, it displays a lively brilliant straw yellow colour, introducing a balanced and pleasant sensory profile. The exclusive use of Pecorino grapes gives it a delicately fruity bouquet and a sip characterised by marked freshness. Its natural savouriness and overall harmony make it ideal for accompanying starters, fish-based first courses, shellfish and cheeses.

Where it comes from

The vineyards are rooted in the Marche region, in the area of Ascoli Piceno. Here, the vines are trained using the Guyot system, with a density of about five thousand plants per hectare. The soil, of medium texture tending towards sandy, is fundamental in defining the tension and verticality of the sip. This particular soil composition gives the wine a vibrant savouriness, enhancing its connection to the territory and ensuring a linear and essential drinkability.

How it is produced

Production involves fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about ten days. This technique preserves freshness and guides the aromatic development of the must. This is followed by maturation in steel, which maintains the chromatic brilliance and delicacy of the fruity notes. The absence of wood ageing ensures impeccable aromatic purity, resulting in a dynamic, direct wine that is deeply faithful to the characteristics of the grape variety.

Over 35 years of experience in the sector and strong passion have allowed us to create this reality where, through the use of cutting-edge equipment, exceptional wine is produced.

The heart of the company is located in the historic city of Ascoli Piceno, which is located in the region Marche at a distance of about 20 km from Adriatic Sea and at a height of 150/200 m above sea level.

The company's farms extend across the hills that surround the splendid valley of the Tronto river, which, thanks to its clayey and fertile soils, has always been suited to the cultivation of vines.

In addition to the four companies located in Ascoli Piceno, Castorano, Monsampolo del Tronto and Castel di Lama, there is a vineyard in the area of Ancarano (TE) and in the area of San Marcello (AN), between the Castelli di Jesi.
