Description

What kind of wine it is

Feu Blanc de Blancs Brut is a sparkling wine that reflects the authentic character of Sicily, crafted by Tenute Orestiadi. An expression of the Terre Siciliane denomination, this blend of white grapes harmoniously combines Catarratto and Grecanico, resulting in a glass with a bright yellow colour and delicate greenish highlights. On the nose, it opens with an enveloping fruity and floral bouquet, enriched by clear and fresh notes of green apple. On the palate, it is dry and lively, characterised by a fine and persistent perlage that enhances the vegetal notes and underlines the distinctly youthful spirit of the cuvée.

Where it comes from

The grapes destined for this sparkling wine grow in the lush vineyards of Gibellina, located in the province of Trapani. The vines sink their roots into inland hills situated between two hundred and three hundred and fifty metres above sea level, on plots characterised by the typical Sicilian black soil. This specific terroir gives the grapes a pronounced natural acidity, fundamental for shaping the wine’s clear flavour profile and the sensation of freshness that define its style. The careful enhancement of this territorial context allows Tenute Orestiadi to achieve a faithful expression of the hilly landscape of Trapani.

How it is produced

The sparkling process relies on the Charmat Method, involving a carefully controlled fermentation in autoclave to preserve the aromatic integrity of the grapes. This technique encourages the development of elegant bubbles and enhances the fresh components of the must. Afterwards, the wine matures through ageing on the lees for three months, gaining greater structural stability. Before being ready for tasting, the sparkling wine undergoes a further rest in the bottle for at least three months, ensuring a dry texture, great aromatic clarity and a fresh, persistent finish.

History and Curiosities

The Feu Blanc de Blancs Brut is a tribute to Sicily, born from the black soils of Gibellina, where Tenute Orestiadi managed to rise from its own ashes in 2008. This sparkling wine, Terre Siciliane IGT, made from a fine blend of Catarratto and Grecanico grapes, expresses the authentic strength of the land. Produced using the Charmat method and matured for three months on the lees and in the bottle, it gives life to a cuvée with a fresh soul. A glass capable of blending history and passion, celebrating rebirth through vibrant elegance, perfect for your toasts.

Tenute Orestiadi has an ancient name that evokes distant myths and legends which, precisely in the lands of the Belìce Valley, found life thanks to Aeschylus, who two thousand five hundred years ago wrote and staged the myth of Orestes and the Orestiadi. This is where the story of the Tenute Orestiadi starts, founded in 2008 in the heart of the Belìce Valley, in Gibellina, Sicily, where Mediterranean scents and colors intertwine with myth and art. By transforming the arduous ascent after a historically and economically complex moment, the 1968 earthquake, into energy, the whole has become a cultural and dialogue center for the Mediterranean area.
