Description
What kind of wine is it
Tenute Lunelli Trentino Chardonnay Villa Margon is a still white wine crafted by Lunelli, representing the excellence of Trentino. Showcasing Chardonnay at its best, it displays an intense yellow colour with golden highlights. On the palate, it is well-structured and harmonious, with remarkable aromatic complexity. It is fragrant and persistent, with clear notes of apple, grapefruit, citrus fruits and almond blossom. Its distinctive elegance makes it an ideal companion for shellfish, fish and cheese.
Where does it come from
The grapes ripen in the vineyards of Villa Margon, south-west of Trento. The wine’s identity is shaped by predominantly skeletal soils, mainly sandy, perfect for imparting aromatic precision and a dry sip. The vines are grown using the Trentino pergola system, ensuring a balance that concentrates the aromas and delivers an authentic expression of the terroir of origin.
How is it produced
Vinification involves temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for about a year, divided between steel and oak barrels, creating a harmonious blend that enhances the richness of the fruit. This is followed by further bottle ageing for around eight to ten months, an essential step that gives structure and ensures a good ageing potential over time.
