Description
What kind of wine it is
Habemus Black Label by San Giovenale is a still red wine from Lazio with marked complexity. Made from Grenache grapes, it reveals a structured profile and a well-defined, evolving character. Careful work under organic practices aims to enhance the essence of the variety at every stage of production. The prolonged ageing in barrels gives great breadth to the palate, harmoniously balancing the aromatic notes. A precise technical profile makes it perfect for pairing with cuts of meat, pork, and mature cheeses.
Where it comes from
The roots of this red wine lie in Blera, in the heart of Tuscia, between the Cimini and Sabatini Mountains. The vineyards, situated at three hundred and eighty metres above sea level with a south-east exposure, grow on clay soils rich in stones and rocks. This dry pedoclimatic environment, tempered by breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea, ensures the perfect ripening of the grapes. The wine is a sincere tribute to the lands of the Etruscans, translating the geographical peculiarities into a dense and territorial taste structure.
How it is produced
Production begins at the end of September with the manual harvesting of the grapes. To preserve their absolute integrity, crushing and destemming takes place within an hour, followed by fifteen days of fermentation. The wine matures for thirty months in barrels, completing the cycle with a final six months of rest. Excellent quality is guaranteed by bush-trained vines with high planting density and low yields. San Giovenale applies strict, eco-sustainable organic farming, focused on the utmost care for the ecosystem.
