Description
What kind of wine it is
This Blanc de Noirs Brut is an authentic expression of Pinot Noir, crafted by Rémi Leroy in the Champagne region. The bouquet offers fruity notes alongside hints of candied citrus and chocolate. On the palate, it is airy and pleasantly rounded, finishing with a fresh note of quince. The use of the Traditional Method, a key element in ensuring its finesse, combined with the principles of organic viticulture, delivers a structured, dynamic sip with great persistence.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in Meurville, in the Côte des Bar, where the vines take root in clay-limestone soils from the Upper Jurassic. The estate is divided between the gentle hills of the Kimmeridgian and the plateau of the Portlandian. This landscape positively stimulates the vines, encouraging a natural concentration in the grape clusters. Careful agronomic management translates this distinctive terroir into a must with a marked typicity, capable of evolving with remarkable elegance over the years.
How it is produced
The meticulous vinification of Pinot Noir takes advantage of the long ageing times of the Traditional Method to impart complexity and stylistic consistency to every glass. The Champagne maintains a dry and vibrant profile, thanks to a measured dosage that enhances the harmony of the fruit without ever overpowering it. Ideal served chilled, it pairs harmoniously with refined fish starters, fine shellfish, and carefully selected cheeses.

The majority are on hillsides - the Kimmeridgian, which is also found in Chablis - but the particularity of the Meurville vintage, in addition to the thinness of the soil in general, lies in the presence on the plateau overlooking the village of Portlandien pure (an almost exclusive Champagne) offering even poorer soils.
On such supports where the vine must naturally suffer to ensure its growth, the viticulture practiced makes it possible to obtain fruits and juices of a remarkable typicity. Read more
