Description

What kind of wine it is

Desire Lush & Zin Chardonnay Fiano by Pasqua is a still white wine with Indicazione Geografica Tipica from Puglia, boasting a Mediterranean character, born from a blend of Chardonnay and Fiano. In the glass, it reveals a fragrant bouquet, dominated by aromas of white peach and apricot, enriched with delicate notes of orange zest and tropical hints. On the palate, it is dry and medium-bodied, characterised by a lively acidity that supports citrus and stone fruit flavours. The texture is soft and inviting, leading to a clean and persistent finish, in a balanced white, vinified in steel, ideal for enhancing aperitifs and light dishes.

Where it comes from

This label comes to life in the heart of Puglia, a region with a strong winemaking tradition capable of producing expressive grapes. The Pasqua winery interprets the territory by combining a native grape variety of great character with a renowned international variety, outlining a clean and recognisable oenological style. The meeting of Fiano and Chardonnay reflects the influence of the sunny climate, while maintaining a pronounced freshness. The aim is to enhance the natural potential of the grapes, ensuring a harmonious drink and a direct aromatic profile.

How it is produced

The grapes are harvested in September and undergo a gentle cold maceration to encourage the extraction of primary aromas without weighing down the structure. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 12°C, thus preserving the fragrance of the original fruit. The wine then rests with a two-month lees ageing, an essential step that imparts a pleasant tactile softness. Served chilled, it pairs beautifully with classic fresh pasta dishes, grilled lean fish and soft cheeses.

History and Curiosities

Born from the creative flair of Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine, a historic company founded in 1925, this label from the Desire Lush & Zin line masterfully combines Chardonnay and Fiano. The 2025 vintage, overseen by oenologist Carlo Olivari, stands out for its contemporary design enhanced by the phrase “Dreamed and realised by Pasqua”.
