Description
What kind of wine it is
Sparviere Franciacorta Satèn is an organic wine produced using the Traditional Method. Fully showcasing Chardonnay, this Brut displays a fresh and elegant profile, with a straw-yellow colour and brilliant silvery highlights. The lower pressure encourages the development of a creamy and persistent mousse, offering a silky and enveloping sip.
Where it comes from
This Franciacorta originates in Lombardy, in the renowned lands of Provaglio d’Iseo. The grapes come from the estate’s youngest vineyards, cultivated at around two hundred metres above sea level with a northern exposure. The morainic soils impart a clear and measured style, enhancing floral aromas that blend harmoniously with the freshness on the palate.
How it is produced
After gentle pressing, the free-run must ferments in steel tanks, while a portion matures in wooden barrels undergoing malolactic fermentation. Once the initial ageing on the lees is complete, the blend is created. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle according to the Traditional Method and matures for twenty-four months, developing delicate pastry notes.
History and Curiosities
Produced in Provaglio d’Iseo, this refined organic Franciacorta DOCG is made from pure Chardonnay grapes grown in the youngest vineyards of the estate. Crafted with artisanal expertise, Lo Sparviere’s Traditional Method matures for 24 months on the lees, releasing elegant floral notes and delicate hints of patisserie. The lower pressure in the bottle, typical of Satèn, gives a creamy and extremely fine perlage that caresses the palate with a silky sensation. Each sip combines vibrant freshness with an enveloping softness.
