Description
Wine description
Sharis by Livio Felluga is a still white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, belonging to the Venezia Giulia appellation, with a fresh and vibrant profile, created from a blend of Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla and Sauvignon. On the palate, it offers a smooth and agile structure, characterised by a distinct green apple acidity and iodised nuances that lead towards a perfectly balanced finish. The bouquet is distinguished by clear mineral notes, enriched by hints of peach, grapefruit and accents of lemon thyme. A crisp and elegant version, fermented in stainless steel, ideal for pairing with aperitifs and fish dishes.
Origin
This wine originates from the vineyards of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the territory of the Venezia Giulia appellation. The vines are Guyot-trained on soils composed of marl and sandstone flysch of Eocene origin, a fundamental component that gives the wine its unmistakable saline vein. To preserve the aromatic integrity and gustatory tension of the grapes, the harvest is carefully carried out between the first and second ten days of September, ensuring perfectly balanced raw materials.
Production process
Vineyard management follows the principles of integrated pest management. After destemming and a brief maceration, the grapes undergo soft pressing. The clarified must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. To enrich the wine's texture in terms of sapidity and smoothness, ageing continues on the fine lees for several months. The production process concludes with a resting period in temperature-controlled rooms following bottling.
