Description
What type of wine it is
Trento Brut Letrari is a Traditional Method sparkling wine that expresses the essence of the Trento area. It originates from a blend where Chardonnay harmoniously meets Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. In the glass, it reveals a straw-yellow colour with bright golden reflections and a fine, persistent perlage, whilst the olfactory profile offers fragrant notes of apple, pineapple, and delicate hints of bread crust. On the palate, it is broad, lively, and supported by an excellent body, proving ideal from the aperitif through to pairing with fish-based dishes and shellfish.
Where it comes from
The grapes destined for this sparkling wine ripen in Vallagarina, near Rovereto. The vineyards enjoy a temperate climate, mitigated by the influence of Lake Garda and the course of the Adige River, elements capable of creating a microclimate with a Mediterranean feel. The marked temperature fluctuations between day and night are essential for preserving the aromatic integrity and freshness of the wine. Letrari manages the production with a deep connection to the territory, enhancing a historical heritage that has its roots in the seventeenth century.
How it is produced
The winemaking process begins with the manual harvesting of the bunches, which undergo soft pressing. The first fermentation takes place in steel tanks to keep the clarity of the primary aromas intact. Following the creation of the blend, the cuvée undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle according to the rigorous standards of the Traditional Method. Prolonged ageing on the lees guarantees excellent structural stability and gives the wine a fine mousse, offering a balanced sip enriched by consistent fruity returns on the finish.
