Description
What kind of wine it is
Les Cretes Mon Blanc is a still white wine that expresses the authentic identity of the Aosta Valley. In this blend, where Chardonnay and Fumin converse, a crystalline straw-yellow colour stands out. On the nose, it is delicate and fruity, while the palate reveals a fragrant Alpine freshness with excellent longevity. It pairs beautifully with fish-based dishes, vegetarian dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
Where it comes from
The vines grow between five hundred and seven hundred metres above sea level, under organic and sustainable farming practices. The mountain climate and moraine and sandy soils create the ideal habitat for Guyot training. For six generations, Les Cretes has worked these vineyards with profound respect for the environment, infusing the glass with the most intimate and pure characteristics of the Aosta Valley terroir.
How it is produced
Production begins in mid-September with a rigorous manual harvest. After gentle pressing, the must ferments for twelve days in stainless steel, thanks to precise temperature control. This targeted vinification protects the aromatic clarity of the grapes, delivering a pleasant immediacy on the palate and an extremely clean drink.
History and Curiosities
