Description
What kind of wine is it
J. M. Goulard Champagne La Sereine Brut is an organic Champagne that elegantly expresses the character of the appellation. This blend combines Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Crafted according to the Traditional Method, it reveals a golden colour and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers aromas of raspberry jam, white flowers and candied orange. On the palate, the entry is savoury, evolving into notes of white peach and mango, perfectly balanced by freshness. This organic Brut, thanks to 40 months of ageing on the lees, acquires a silky finish and an excellent capacity to evolve over time.
Where does it come from
This wine originates in the Champagne region, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry. Here, the J. M. Goulard winery operates as an independent winegrower and Récoltant Manipulant. The vines sink their roots into characteristic sandy soils, an element that gives the glass tension, precision and a smooth drinkability. The family estate pursues attentive viticulture, respecting the natural expression of the terroir. This agricultural approach results in a cuvée that enhances the fineness of the perlage, combined with a clear fragrance and a vibrant, authentic freshness.
How is it produced
The carefully selected grapes are made sparkling strictly following the Traditional Method. The long maturation in the bottle enriches the structure, while the dry dosage enhances the absolute cleanliness of the sip, maintaining a consistent organoleptic profile. The result is a dynamic glass, delicate yet distinctly savoury. Served at a temperature of 6-8 °C, this wine reveals great gastronomic versatility. It pairs ideally with rich fish soups and shellfish sautéed with orange, and also marries beautifully with white fish or fresh goat's cheese with shallots.
