Description

Type of wine

The Fuoripista Pinot Grigio by Foradori is an organic orange wine from Trentino-Alto Adige with the Vigneti delle Dolomiti geographical indication. Made from Pinot Grigio grapes macerated in terracotta amphorae, it is distinguished by a bright coppery colour and a complex aromatic bouquet of yellow-fleshed fruit, walnuts and sweet spices. On the palate, it reveals a structured and textural sip, supported by deep mineral notes that give the wine a vibrant gustatory tension.

Where it comes from

The vineyards, located in Campo Rotaliano in Mezzolombardo, are rooted in alluvial and gravelly soils that give the wine tension and a marked savoury character. This project was born from the synergy between Foradori and the biodynamic winegrower Marco Devigili, with the aim of offering a pure territorial expression of Trentino-Alto Adige. The deep connection with the mountain environment translates into an artisanal production of approximately ten thousand bottles per year.

How it is produced

The must undergoes prolonged maceration on the skins in terracotta amphorae for over eight months. This extraction technique provides a textural tactile profile and a distinct, almost tannic sensation. Bottled without filtration to preserve the integrity of the fruit, the wine expresses itself with great balance, concluding the tasting with a persistent, fresh finish, finely marked by hints of wild flowers.

History and curiosities

Born from the synergy between Elisabetta Foradori and biodynamic winegrower Marco Devigili, the Fuoripista Pinot Grigio 2025 offers an alternative vision of Campo Rotaliano. Grown on alluvial and gravelly soils, the grapes macerate in terracotta amphorae for over eight months. This vibrant orange wine, bottled strictly without filtration, encapsulates the authentic artisanal soul of the Dolomites in a production of approximately ten thousand bottles, celebrating the Trentino region through a fascinating unconventional approach.

Our awareness of nature’s rhythms and cycles has been perfected through observation over time: each season opens new horizons, every day we learn and understand a little more. We have learned to pay attention, to grasp the subtle differences existing in nature and to preserve the true character of the grape in the expression of its land of origin. Our daily farming gestures are elevated to creative impulses: it is our duty and privilege to wake up every morning and to be free to work according to the message that the earth conveys to us in that moment.

We harvest the grapes from vineyards covering 29 hectares – 70% of Teroldego, 15% of Manzoni Bianco, 5% of Nosiola and 10% of Pinot Grigio – to produce an average of 180.000 bottles per year: 50.000 of Foradori, 20.000 of Granato, 20.000 of Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco, 10.000 of Fontanasanta Nosiola, 10.000 of Fuoripista Pinot Grigio, 10.000 for each vineyards of Sgarzon and Morei and 50.000 bottles of Lezèr.
