Description
Sicilian still red, 14% ABV, produced by Firriato on the Baglio Soria Estate, in a 1.5L magnum, 2016 vintage. A blend of Nero d'Avola and Syrah that tells the story of a winery that has successfully interpreted Sicilian winemaking tradition with a modern twist. Manually harvested, the grapes are aged for eight months in American oak barriques and then aged for 12 months in bottle. It presents concentrated and well-defined nuances of morello cherry, berries, rhubarb, cloves, aromatic herbs, and plum, which alternate and intertwine with captivating notes of licorice, ink, and tobacco leaves. Supple, soft, and caressing, it displays its great personality with a strong Mediterranean influence.
