Description
Style of wine
Emiliana's Natura Gewürztraminer is an organic white wine with an intense and distinctive aromatic profile, produced from Gewürztraminer grapes in Chile's Rapel Valley, vinified in stainless steel and certified vegan. The bouquet reveals floral notes of jasmine and rose, combined with hints of lychee, citrus and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is enveloping, supported by a pleasant freshness and a well-balanced acidity. Its smoothness accompanies the exotic echoes towards a long and spicy finish, making it the ideal choice for enhancing Asian cuisine, sushi and shellfish dishes or refined aperitifs.
Provenance
This white wine originates from the Rapel Valley, an area of Chile particularly suited to viticultural excellence. In these territories, Emiliana cultivates the vineyards strictly following the principles of biodynamic agriculture, managing the soil with total respect for the local ecosystem. This approach translates into meticulous care for the raw material, with grapes harvested by hand to ensure the perfect ripeness of the bunches. The result is an authentic expression, capable of reflecting the natural balance of the Chilean terroir in the glass.
How it is produced
The winemaking process begins with a very gentle pressing of the bunches to extract the most noble liquid fraction. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the aromatic richness of the Gewürztraminer intact. Once this stage is complete, the wine undergoes a targeted rest on the fine lees for one month, to acquire greater structure and volume on the palate. Ageing in stainless steel continues for a further four months, defining a clear clean finish and allowing the development of delicate almond nuances.
History and interesting facts
Since 1998, the Chilean estate Emiliana has excelled in organic and biodynamic viticulture, cultivating the land with deep respect. This dedication is reflected in the Rapel Valley Gewürztraminer, born from grapes hand-harvested at the start of March and subjected to gentle pressing. Meticulous temperature-controlled fermentation and time spent on the fine lees, followed by targeted ageing in steel, preserve its vibrant original freshness. A wine with an ethical soul and suitable for vegans, capable of providing an authentic balance.
