Description
What kind of wine is it
Domaine Pignier Cremant du Jura Brut Nature is an elegant sparkling wine from the Crémant du Jura region, crafted in France to enhance the purity of Chardonnay. The secondary fermentation takes place according to the Traditional Method, resulting in a Brut Nature profile with zero dosage, distinguished by its freshness and lively acidity. The glass, with its bright straw yellow colour, reveals a fine and persistent perlage that precedes delicate aromas of white flowers, apple, pear, and tropical notes of pineapple and citrus. On the palate, it is fragrant and intense, with a long and harmonious finish that invites another sip.
Where does it come from
The grapes grow on the slopes of Montaigu, in the heart of the Jura. In this unique terroir, the roots sink into deep limestone soils that give the wine a taut character and a pronounced mineral component. Domaine Pignier's philosophy is based on biodynamic viticulture, ensuring a respectful approach to the ecosystem to preserve the integrity of the fruit. This precise territorial identity produces a wine of great verve, capable of reflecting the peculiarities of the hillside and the sustainable practices rigorously followed in the vineyard.
How is it produced
The production process follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with bottle refermentation defining its elegance. The absence of added sugars preserves the expressiveness of the zero dosage, enhancing the wine's purity. A slow maturation in oak barrels, stored in a centuries-old cellar, enriches its structure and perfects its gustatory balance. Served chilled, it is an ideal accompaniment for starters and shellfish, offering a lively and refined sip, highly appreciated by wine critics.
