Description
What kind of wine is it
The Champagne Grande Reserve Extra Brut from Domaine Lagille is an authentic expression of the region, crafted according to the Traditional Method. This wine is born from a harmonious blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Its aromatic profile offers clear fruity notes, enhanced by hints of bread crust. On the palate, it is fresh, very dry and pleasantly complex, with an excellent ageing potential in the cellar estimated between five and ten years.
Where does it come from
The grapes are grown on a seven-hectare estate located in the Vallée de l’Ardre, within a mosaic of plots among the villages of Treslon, Faverolles-et-Coëmy, Savigny-sur-Ardres and Chaumuzy. In this area, the clay soils, sand and clay-limestone formations give the Champagne a distinctive freshness and a profound savoury flavour. The vineyard is managed by an independent winegrower who strictly adheres to the principles of organic farming and sustainability.
How is it produced
Production follows the strict standards of the Traditional Method, enhancing the dry and vibrant character typical of the Extra Brut style. Visually, it displays a straw yellow colour with golden highlights, adorned with a fine and persistent perlage. The balance between the elegant mousse and the acidic tension makes it ideal for pairing with cheese, starters and lean fish. To fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 6 and 8 °C.
