Description
What kind of wine it is
The Primitivo Casale Ciliani by D’Addario expresses the authentic essence of Apulia. This still red blend, made from Primitivo and Malvasia Nera grapes, displays a ruby hue enhanced by bright violet reflections. The bouquet reveals intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum, which precede a structured palate that finishes with elegant notes of almond fig. Its flavour profile makes it the ideal companion for rich pasta dishes with ragù, grilled meats, game and mature cheeses.
Where it comes from
The roots of this wine lie in the heart of Salento, in an area between the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto. The vineyards thrive on poor calcareous soils with a marked clay component, an agronomic structure that gives the fruit great colour depth and a pronounced flavour structure. D’Addario is committed to precisely enhancing the Apulian territorial vocation, working with local oenologists to ensure the highest expressive quality in every glass.
How it is produced
The vinification process is designed to preserve the original fragrance of the harvest. The wine undergoes careful maturation in stainless steel, a key technical choice to protect the aromatic profile from external influences and enhance its varietal clarity. To capture every nuance of this red, it is recommended to decant for about an hour and serve at a temperature between 14 and 16 degrees, steps that allow the full fruity spectrum to reveal itself in all its harmony.
