Description
What type of wine it is
The Barbera d’Asti La Madrina by Costa Olmo is a still red wine capable of clearly expressing the character of the Barbera grape variety, with a Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG). In the glass, it is distinguished by a bright ruby red colour with violet highlights. The aromatic profile is clear and inviting, defined by scents of red cherry, raspberry and plum, enriched by delicate floral nuances and light spicy hints. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, supported by a lively acidity and soft tannins that lead towards a balanced finish with great drinkability.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in the municipality of Vinchio, in the heart of Piedmont. The link between the Costa Olmo winery and its territory of origin emerges clearly through its belonging to the famous Barbera d’Asti area. The Piedmontese identity is fully reflected in the smooth flow of the sip and the juiciness of the fruit, which are central elements of this oenological interpretation.
