Description
What kind of wine it is
Cotes du Rhone Sans Sulfites Ajoutés is a still organic red wine that embodies the authentic essence of the Rhône Valley. Produced by the Clos St Antonin estate from Grenache grapes, it stands out for its no added sulphites production, ensuring an extremely clear and pure sensory profile. On the nose, it offers inviting notes of red plum and wild berries, enhanced by a fresh hint of liquorice. The palate reveals a silky and rich texture, capable of balancing power and elegance in an enveloping and pleasantly smooth sip.
Where it comes from
The grapes grow in the vineyards of Jonquières, located on a natural promontory in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône appellation, on the borders of the Plan de Dieu. From this privileged position, there is an unrivalled view of the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. The Clos St Antonin estate, run by the Sabon family, manages its land according to the principles of organic and sustainable viticulture. This meticulous agronomic approach enhances the unique characteristics of the Rhône Valley terroir, giving the grapes extraordinary aromatic intensity.
How it is produced
The winemaking process aims to enhance the purity of Grenache through precise methods that respect the raw material. Served at an ideal temperature between 14 and 16°C after an hour of decanting, this red expresses its full expressive potential. With an ageing potential of 5-10 years, the wine has received excellent international recognition, including 91 points awarded by James Suckling. At the table, its innate softness is ideal for accompanying main courses of red meats, pork, or selections of mature and flavoursome cheeses.
