Description
What kind of wine it is
D de Dauzac is a rich red wine from Bordeaux, an authentic expression of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The bouquet opens with fresh aromas of red and black fruits, enhanced by pleasant spicy notes. On the palate, it reveals a concentrated and balanced structure, supported by silky and mature tannins. The flavour profile offers notes of blackberry, plum and a hint of vanilla, ensuring a smooth and persistent finish. Certified vegan, it is the ideal pairing for red meats, mature cheeses and plant-based dishes.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France in the Bordeaux region, from plots characterised by a clay-gravel terroir. The vineyards benefit from a favourable microclimate, located near the Gironde estuary and protected from ocean winds by woods and meadows. Although distinct from the soils of Margaux, the grapes are grown following the same rigorous quality standards as Château Dauzac, through organic and sustainable farming. The double Guyot training system ensures optimal ripening, reflecting the area's vocation for great Bordeaux reds.
How it is produced
Vinification begins with fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatic freshness. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, essential for roundness, the wine matures for about a year divided between vats and French oak barrels. This stage refines the tannic structure and adds elegant spicy nuances without overpowering the fruit. Any fining is carried out exclusively with plant proteins. To fully appreciate its potential and longevity, it is recommended to decant for one hour before serving at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
History and Curiosities
Born from the expertise of the prestigious Château Dauzac, the D de Dauzac 2022 is a refined Bordeaux blend, the result of virtuous and sustainable viticulture. This certified vegan wine offers a pure and balanced experience, ideal for enhancing any toast.
