Description
What kind of wine it is
Castrum Roche Derthona Colli Tortonesi Timorasso is a still white wine from Piedmont, made from Timorasso grapes. In the glass, it displays a shimmering gold-green colour, introducing a complex aromatic bouquet. On the nose, citrus and tropical fruit notes emerge, enriched by hints of medicinal herbs, balsamic nuances and mineral tones. On the palate, it stands out for its harmonious balance between freshness and a pronounced savouriness, accompanied by a soft and enveloping structure. The sip is generous and lively, with a consistent and long-lasting finish.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Piedmont, at the heart of the renowned Colli Tortonesi area. The name Derthona identifies a territorial expression deeply linked to the cultivation of the Timorasso grape variety. In this area, the characteristics of the soil and the local microclimate enhance the aromatic profile and the natural strength of the grapes. Its origin certifies an authentic connection with the Piedmontese terroir, offering a faithful interpretation of the hilly landscape from which the wine originates.
How it is produced
The result of the dedication of Castrum Roche, a winery established on family land where the first vineyards were planted in 2014, this wine is produced exclusively from Timorasso grapes. The care devoted to the approximately two hectares of estate yields a glass of extraordinary longevity, capable of evolving positively for a period of five to ten years. Served at the ideal temperature of 10-12 °C, it elegantly accompanies elaborate dishes such as tagliolini with lobster and asparagus, and also proves perfect with lean fish and cheese selections.
