Description

What kind of wine is it

Camossi Franciacorta Rosé Extra Brut is a sparkling rosé wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. Produced using the Traditional Method, this wine adopts the Solo Uva method, an approach that uses only sugars extracted from its own grapes. In the glass, it reveals a pale pink colour and a fine perlage. The bouquet opens with fruity notes, accompanied by subtle spicy hints and pastry aromas. On the palate, it boasts a complex and persistent structure, balanced by a freshness that ensures excellent palate cleansing.

Where does it come from

This wine originates in the heart of Lombardy, within the Franciacorta region. The grapes come from the vineyards of Erbusco, Paratico and Provaglio d’Iseo, three areas that allow for a balanced and expressive blend. The agricultural management is overseen by Claudio and Dario Camossi, who apply extreme agronomic rigour to enhance the Pinot Noir. The interaction between these micro-terroirs imparts an intense aromatic finesse, delivering a sip of high consistency and stylistic precision.

How is it produced

Vinification is based on bottle refermentation following the principles of the Traditional Method. The main technical feature is the absence of external sweetening agents: the process uses only the natural sugars from the grapes. This rigorous process shapes the dryness of the Extra Brut dosage, enhancing the purity of the raw material. Highly appreciated for its integrity, the wine ensures a potential longevity of five to ten years. To fully appreciate its nuances, a serving temperature between six and eight degrees is recommended.

History and Curiosities

Franciacorta Rosé Extra Brut Camossi is the result of the dedication of Claudio and Dario Camossi, who tend to their own vineyards located between Erbusco, Paratico and Provaglio d’Iseo. This refined sparkling wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes using the innovative “Solo Uva” method, which relies exclusively on the natural sugars of the grape to ensure uncompromising purity. The cuvée, with its extremely fine perlage and elegant pastry notes, gives rise to an expressive and harmonious traditional method wine, ideal for celebrating special occasions.
