Description
What kind of wine it is
Buvoli's Pinot Noir presents a bright ruby red colour with garnet hues. On the nose, the bouquet weaves together notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant and blood orange with hints of wilted violet and eucalyptus, enriched by spicy suggestions of incense, cinnamon and star anise. On the palate, it offers a fleshy and flavoursome sip, guided by mature tannins and a vibrant fresh-savoury streak. This balance culminates in a consistent finish, ideal for pairing with truffle fillet medallions, pork and mature cheeses.
Where it comes from
Produced in Veneto, this wine fully expresses Buvoli's philosophy. The aim is to interpret Pinot Noir with rigour and a deep connection to the land. Long ageing times ensure a clearly defined expression, in perfect balance between aromatic intensity and lively taste. An hour of decanting allows you to best appreciate its stylistic imprint.
How it is produced
Vinification in stainless steel preserves the integrity of the fruit and the clarity of the aromas. This is followed by fifteen months of maturation in barrels, which encourages perfect integration of the structure. A further forty months' rest in the bottle completes the organoleptic stabilisation. This process gives the wine a smooth taste texture, supported by elegant tannins and a persistent fresh-savoury tension.
History and Curiosities
The Buvoli Pinot Nero 2019 embodies the vision of the Opificio del Pinot Nero, revealing the authentic connection between the Veneto IGT region and Marco Buvoli. After vinification in steel, the wine undergoes meticulous ageing in barrique for fifteen months, followed by a further forty months in the bottle. This lengthy maturation enhances the essence of the region, bestowing an elegant character that fully blossoms after an hour of decanting.
