Description
What kind of wine it is
Brovia Barolo Villero is a still red wine of great character, an authentic expression of Piedmont. Made from Nebbiolo grapes, it appears in the glass with a captivating ruby red colour that shifts towards elegant garnet reflections. The bouquet is deep and multifaceted, characterised by intense hints of tar and delicate underbrush notes. This aromatic structure is enriched with floral notes of cyclamen, lively accents of citrus peel and nuances of rhubarb. A balsamic hint of eucalyptus and small red fruits complete a harmonious and inviting bouquet.
Where it comes from
This Barolo originates from the hills of Castiglione Falletto, the result of the dedication of the Brovia winery, founded in 1863. The winery's philosophy focuses on the rigorous selection of vineyards to highlight the unique features of the region. The origin from the prestigious Villero cru gives the wine a unique character, where the soil enhances the natural elegance of the fruit. It is precisely the interaction between this terroir and the vines that shapes a fresh tasting experience, capable of developing a lively savoury streak. On the palate, the structure is supported by a velvety yet lively and vibrant tannic texture.
How it is produced
Careful work in the cellar ensures a crisp, tasty sip that continues to expand on the palate, finishing with an exceptionally long mentholated persistence. This red wine boasts an ageing potential estimated between ten and fifteen years, promising a fascinating evolution over time. For optimal tasting, it is recommended to decant for at least an hour and serve between 18 and 20°C. At the table, it pairs beautifully with venison stews, game and flavourful cuts of pork, and also proves to be the ideal companion for boards of mature cheeses.

The Winery had been set up as far back as 1863 and is settled in Castiglione Falletto. Paying always attention to the importance of the "terroir", with time and an uncompromising attitude to the selection of the finest vineyards in Langa, the family has been able to acquire great vineyards in the Barolo growing area: Rocche, Villero and Garblèt Sue’ in Castiglione Falletto and Ca’Mia and Brea in Serralunga d’Alba.
Thus, the philosophy of the Winery is to propose great personality Barolos (as with the other wines produced), all made in the same way, but with very specific and clean characteristics, always different among them; Barolos that faithfully reflect the richness of our great Langa vineyards."
