Description
What type of wine it is
Belvento Velarosa by Petra is a refined rosé wine from the Tuscany Typical Geographical Indication with a linear and fruity profile. This blend of Grenache and Sangiovese offers a clear bouquet, where notes of raspberry and pomegranate meet pleasant hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it stands out for its mineral freshness and a lively acidity that balance the sip with extreme precision. The tasting experience concludes with delicate balsamic hints and a fragrant finish, proving perfect for accompanying appetisers, cheeses, and light Mediterranean dishes.
Where it comes from
This rosé originates in the territory of Suvereto, in the heart of Maremma, where the vineyards benefit from a typically Mediterranean climate. Proximity to the sea ensures a constant sea breeze that caresses the clusters, giving the wine a distinctive savoury character. The roots sink into soils with a clay-sandy texture, enriched by a precious limestone component, essential for defining the aromatic profile. Agronomic management using the Guyot system promotes an excellent vegetative balance, resulting in a highly pleasant wine.
How it is produced
The winemaking process begins with a rigorous manual harvesting of the grapes. In the cellar, there is a short period of skin contact with the must, necessary to extract the delicate pink hue and the most subtle aromatic components. This is followed by soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, aimed at preserving the integrity of the primary aromas. The wine matures in stainless steel tanks for four months, followed by a further period of resting in the bottle, thus maintaining remarkable expressive purity. Served chilled, it offers a smooth and elegant sip.
