Description
What kind of wine it is
Bellavista Franciacorta Nectar Demi Sec is a harmonious white wine produced using the Traditional Method, a pure expression of the characteristics of Chardonnay. In the glass, it reveals an extremely fine and continuous perlage, accompanying a fragrant aromatic profile dominated by notes of candied white fruit, delicate floral essences and hints of honey. On the palate, it displays a distinctly creamy and broad texture, where softness merges with a pleasant and sweet freshness. It is the ideal pairing for cheeses, dry pastries or desserts such as Sicilian cannoli.
Where it comes from
This Demi-Sec originates in Lombardy, specifically in the area of Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta. Bellavista carefully selects Chardonnay from a blend of vineyards located on high hillsides, characterised by a privileged southern exposure. This particular geographical location allows the grapes to reach optimal ripeness, ensuring the wine achieves an ideal balance between breadth of flavour and freshness, essential to support its aromatic profile. The result is an authentic interpretation of the Brescian hillside microclimate, capable of enhancing the identity of the grape variety.
How it is produced
Vinification begins with the fermentation of the must, carried out partly in small white oak barrels. A distinctive feature of Bellavista Franciacorta Nectar Demi Sec is the dosage, made using a must obtained from grapes dried on the vine. After the prise de mousse, typical of the Traditional Method, the wine rests for a long time on the lees and undergoes cellar ageing for at least four years. This patient evolution gives the sip a velvety consistency and a balanced, very prolonged flavour persistence.
History and Curiosities
Bellavista Nectar Franciacorta Demi-Sec is a rare and elegant cuvée, produced on the hills of Erbusco from 100% Chardonnay grapes. It is born from meticulous vinification, which includes partial fermentation in small white oak barrels. The exclusive dosage, made with must from grapes dried directly on the vine, gives the wine a creamy aromatic profile, enriched with enveloping notes of honey and candied fruit. This seductive Traditional Method, which ages for at least 4 years in the cellar, offers an unforgettable tasting experience and extraordinary longevity.
