Zardetto Prosecco Dry Fondego
The close ties of Conegliano with the Venetian Serenissima are testified by the fòndeghi (fòndachi in Italian), depots for the storage of goods, especially grain. Next to the Borgo del Molìn mill there is a still and ancient fondaco, once a place bustling with trade and merchants. This Prosecco is dedicated to them; to their commercial skills, but also to their ability to enjoy the precious gift of the wines from the Conegliano hills, then as now.

Perlage

Fine bead that refers to a greater aromatic complexity.

Colour

Brilliant straw yellow.

Bouquet

The “Feletto” soil gives to this Conegliano Valdobbiadene Dry hints of yellow fruit such as apricot and pineapple, together with the more typical rennet apple and pear. The aftertaste has a nice glazed almonds note.

Flavour

Nicely round, with a smooth salty flavor enhanced by the fine bubbles.

Almost one hundred years have now passed since the day Bepi Zardetto lost his cart, horses and entire load of barrels during the retreat from Caporetto, on the Italian front of the First World War. 100 years that have seen a family trace its history ...
