||White sparkling charmat method brut
||80% Pinot Grigio, 20% Verduzzo Friulano
||The technique of sparkling wine making in autoclave has been known in Venezie since the end of 1700. Masi applies it to two native grape varieties to obtain a delicate sparkling wine of unmistakable pleasantness, which combines fresh notes and acidity typical of Pinot Grigio with ripe fruit aromas expressed by semi-dried Verduzzo.
||Gargagnago di Valpolicella (VR)
||Separate harvesting and vinification by variety. The Pinot Grigio is harvested at the end of August and vinified immediately (low temperature at 15 to 10°C for 25 days) in order to enhance its freshness and aromas. The Verduzzo is harvested at the end of September and undergoes over-ripening in stalls for 3 weeks: this process is favoured by the varietal characteristics (consistent skin) and aims to obtain a higher concentration of the fruit.
||Verduzzo, after a short cryomaceration (36 hours at 5 °C), continues fermentation in steel.
||Fermentative stop before the end to allow the next blend and froth setting with Charmat method. 1 month of stay on the yeasts.
||Excellent aperitif. Good with fresh, light summer antipasti, vegetable crudités, fi sh and salads.
