Description
What kind of wine it is
Champagne Marie Demets Singularité Extra Brut is a refined Blanc de Blancs, made exclusively from Pinot Blanc grapes. This rare single-variety cuvée stands out for its bright straw-yellow colour, enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage that precedes an aromatic bouquet rich in fruity scents and fragrant notes of bread crust. On the palate, it is fresh, savoury and harmonious, with a long-lasting mineral finish. Thanks to its balanced profile, it is the ideal companion for delicate white meat dishes, such as poultry or veal.
Where it comes from
This Champagne is produced in Gyé-sur-Seine, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. The grapes come from a single estate parcel, characterised by clay-limestone soils that give the wine its distinctive savoury character. This particular soil composition is essential for imparting the tension and minerality that define the taste. The deep connection with the land is expressed in a precise and clean drink, capable of enhancing the identity and purity of Pinot Blanc.
How it is produced
Production strictly follows the principles of the Traditional Method, beginning with meticulous selection of the grape bunches. After creating the cuvée, the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, followed by slow ageing on the lees for a period of thirty months. This prolonged maturation is essential to harmonise the freshness of the grape variety with greater aromatic complexity and to refine the elegance of the bubbles. The low dosage, typical of the Extra Brut style, preserves the wine’s integrity, enhancing its consistency and linear taste profile.
