Description
What kind of wine is it
Vosne Romanée Aux Reas is a still red wine that embodies the essence of the Vosne-Romanée appellation. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, it displays a brilliant cherry red hue. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of small red fruits, with a more pronounced concentration compared to the Maizières range. The palate is marked by a lively and fresh drinkability, enriched by clear notes of spices and black fruits. Its solid structure also ensures an estimated longevity of between 10 and 15 years.
Where does it come from
This wine originates from Vosne-Romanée, a renowned village in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, an area historically celebrated for the excellence of its Pinot Noir reds. The name Aux Reas identifies a specific vineyard within the appellation, where the vines draw a marked finesse and aromatic precision from the soil. The deep connection with the land gives the sip balance and identity, enhancing the natural spicy drive and the rich dark fruit component typical of the Côte de Nuits.
How is it produced
Vinification is overseen by Domaine A.F. Gros, a winery meticulously and independently managed by Anne Gros since 1988. To fully appreciate every aromatic nuance, it is recommended to decant for one hour and serve at a temperature between 14 and 16 °C. Its innate freshness enhances flavourful first courses, pork, and poultry such as duck and goose, making it an ideal pairing also for game and mature cheeses.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more
