Description
What kind of wine it is
The Chambolle-Musigny from Domaine A.F. Gros is a still red wine that embodies the elegance of Burgundy. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, it displays a refined ruby colour and reveals clear aromas of small red fruits. On the palate, it is balanced and silky, offering a fragrant and subtle texture. This wine pairs beautifully with beef dishes and game. Its fruity notes also naturally complement pork-based dishes and rich cheese boards, enhancing meat-based menus with intensity.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France, in the renowned region of Burgundy, and faithfully reflects the distinctive character of Chambolle-Musigny. The estate is led by Anne Gros, who since 1988 has expanded the holdings and renovated the cellar. With a deep background in viticulture, Domaine A.F. Gros tends its vineyards with a meticulous and independent approach. Such dedication has earned the company a solid reputation, allowing it to best interpret the refined and local style that distinguishes this area.
How it is produced
The production process seeks the utmost expressive precision, respecting the characteristics of the soil to achieve a clear gustatory definition. To enhance the complex texture of this Pinot Noir, it is recommended to decant for about an hour before tasting. The sensory balance is optimal when served at a temperature between 14 and 16°C, ideal for releasing every aromatic nuance. The structure also boasts excellent ageing potential, allowing the wine to evolve elegantly in the cellar for over a decade.
History and Curiosities
In 1988, Anne Gros took over the leadership of Domaine A.F. Gros, inaugurating a new winery and expanding the estates in Burgundy. Thanks to her training in viticulture and oenology, she manages the vineyards with complete autonomy and meticulous care. This absolute dedication is expressed in the Chambolle-Musigny 2023, a seductive Pinot Noir that reflects the prestigious reputation the company has earned in the French wine scene.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more
