It all began with Socrates Malot, the founder of Sadi Champagne. As a tribute to his brother Sadi, so called because he was born on the day Sadi Carnot (French president from 1887 to 1894) was assassinated and died during the First World War, he gave his company and his son this historically significant name. Today, his great-grandson carries on the name and continues to work with his father.
