When the Allegrini family, coming from Valpolicella, landed in Bolgheri, they immediately grasped the importance of a territory yet to be exploited and further experimented.
It is a magical land, traversed by slopes and terraces that gently slope down to the sea, bordered by a pine forest along the Via Aurelia. The estate is enveloped in Mediterranean vegetation, with a prevalence of cork oaks, strawberry trees and maritime pines.
A study of the terrain and climate has allowed the most suitable vines to be planted in specific areas. The property consists of four plots: two along the Via Bolgherese; the largest at Le Sondraie, near the sea; and the fourth in the municipality of Bibbona.
The soils composed of sand rich in skeleton have been chosen to cultivate powerful vines, such as Cabernet Franc. In the more mineral clay soils, Merlot is cultivated, which acquires elegance and harmony there.
