History of boundaries changed several times, empires have disappeared, that wars are past, stories of people who have stopped here. It 's the story of a family that has passed through two world wars, lived first Austro-Hungarian Empire and then the young Kingdom of Italy, has lived on the rocky coast of the Istrian peninsula and the degree lagoon, then settle for the gentle foothills hills of Friuli.
Return to Italy was not easy for the veterans of World War II, especially for those who left the family at this battered corner of the Adriatic Sea. They found no more fair bridgehead in Europe: the physical boundaries, political and ethnic conflicts had changed, altered forever, as the agricultural and social landscape of the hill.
