Description

100% Riesling from Venezia Giulia IGT, 12.5% ABV, produced by Jermann. 0.75 L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Riesling that embodies the history and passion of the Jermann family, with grapes grown in the Collio area of Friuli. 1881: Great-great-grandfather Anton Jermann arrives in Farra from the Austrian wine-growing region of Burgenland: this is the year the Jermann company is founded. 1930-1940: Angelo Jermann, now 93, not only continues the family tradition of growing grapes but also devotes himself passionately to livestock farming, helping to make the Jermann brand a successful and ethical family business. 1971-1973: Silvio Jermann, son of Angelo and Bruna, who graduated in oenology from both Conegliano and San Michele, revolutionizes the family business: upon returning from his long experience working overseas, he creates the Vintage Tunina blend. 1975: Official launch and marketing of Vintage Tunina, which immediately earns high-profile status from international critics and effectively ushers in a new era for the Jermann brand. 07/07/2007: Silvio inaugurates the second Jermann winery and company headquarters in Ruttars. The aroma is very intense and persistent, slightly aromatic, characteristic of the grape variety, and pleasantly fruity. Bright straw yellow with light greenish reflections. Dry, fresh, and beautifully balanced on the palate, thanks to its velvety texture and lively vigour.
