Description

What kind of wine is it

Vigne Alto Adige Sauvignon is a still white wine from Trentino-Alto Adige that faithfully expresses the character of the Sauvignon grape. Set within the region of excellence that is Alto Adige, it stands out for its dry, rounded and typically varietal profile. In the glass, it displays a greenish-yellow hue that anticipates a well-defined aromatic bouquet. On the nose, nettle aromas and notes of blackcurrant emerge distinctly, creating a recognisable and complex olfactory texture. On the palate, it offers a balanced and smooth structure, delivering a dry and satisfying sip.

Where does it come from

The grapes grow in the mountainous context of Alto Adige, with vineyards located between 450 and 750 metres above sea level. The roots sink into deep alluvial soils, characterised by the presence of porphyritic sediments. This specific soil composition, combined with the altitude, encourages the ideal ripening of the grapes, giving the wine excellent aromatic definition. In this pedoclimatic environment, Vigne enhances the olfactory expressiveness of Sauvignon. The result is a linear style, able to combine lively freshness with a pronounced and pleasant dryness.

How is it produced

Harvesting begins in mid-September, starting a process based on gentle pressing aimed at preserving the primary aromas of the fruit. The must ferments at a controlled temperature and undergoes maturation on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. By avoiding malolactic fermentation, the wine retains its natural acidic tension and great expressive clarity. This technical process increases roundness on the palate, resulting in a dry and distinctive profile that enhances the authentic qualities of the raw material harvested among the rows.

History and Curiosities

Born in the enchanting South Tyrol, this pure Sauvignon expresses a generous and elegant soul. The vines grow between 450 and 750 metres above sea level, sinking their roots into alluvial soils rich in porphyritic sediments that give it a distinctive character. After a careful harvest in September, the process involves gentle pressing and maturation on fine lees in stainless steel, thus preserving all the aromatic intensity of the grape variety.
