Description

What kind of wine is it

Dr. Fischer Hofstatter Riesling Mosel Trocken from the Dr. Fischer winery is a still, dry white Deutscher Qualitätswein from the Mosel, made from Riesling grapes. In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow colour with brilliant greenish highlights. On the nose, it opens with fresh aromas of citrus and green apple, accompanied by delicate notes of white flowers and hints of exotic fruit. On the palate, it is extremely mineral and lively, characterised by a light body and a pronounced, well-balanced acidity. This slender profile culminates in a clean finish, offering excellent balance and a vibrant drinkability.

Where does it come from

This label originates from the picturesque landscapes of the Mosel region, specifically within the historic Mosel-Saar-Ruwer area in Germany. Hailing from the renowned village of Ockfen, the wine is the result of the Dr. Fischer winery. Since 2014, the estate has been led by Martin Foradori Hofstätter, who has brought his valuable experience as a South Tyrolean winemaker to this exceptional German terroir. The identity of this area is perfectly reflected in the glass, giving the wine a vibrant tension and a distinct sense of place, typical of the wines from this celebrated wine-growing district.

History and Curiosities
