Description
What type of wine it is
Bric Cenciurio's Roero Arneis is a **still white wine** from Piedmont with a Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG), made from 100% Arneis grapes in the heart of the Roero region. Its aromatic profile is distinguished by delicate fruity hints, white flowers and subtle herbaceous notes. On the palate, it is dry and supported by a **lively freshness**, with a typically and pleasantly bitterish finish. Thanks to its linear style, it is an excellent choice for an aperitif and pairs ideally with **fish dishes**, vegetables and light first courses.
Where it comes from
This white wine originates in Piedmont, from the historic **Bric Cenciurio vineyard**, the plot that gives the winery its name. The Roero hills offer a unique terroir and microclimate, essential for enhancing the identity of the Arneis grape. The strong link with this hilly territory, located between the **lands of Barolo** and Roero, allows the vines to fully express the **aromatic delicacy** and elegance typical of the variety.
How it is produced
The vinification of the Arneis grapes is aimed at preserving the integrity of the variety's fresh and elegant characteristics. In the cellar, the work aims to achieve a **dry texture**, capable of keeping the floral and fruity hints perceived on the nose intact. The wine does not require decanting, offering an immediate and clean drinking experience. Served at a **temperature of 8-10 °C**, it reveals all its aromatic precision, gracefully accompanying **light preparations**.
History and curiosities
Established in 1990, the Roero Arneis DOCG by Bric Cenciurio expresses the authentic vocation of the local area. Cultivated in the estate's historic vineyards, it benefits from a unique microclimate, ideal for developing the character of the Arneis. Starting from here, in 1990 Franco Pittatore and his brother-in-law Carlo Sacchetto decided to merge their properties in Barolo and Roero, to give life to their dream: producing traditional high-quality wines. A dream, but also a solid project, carried out today by Franco's sons, Alessandro and Alberto, in their estate vineyards in Barolo, Novello, Castellinaldo, and Magliano Alfieri.
Their commitment to keeping alive the good agricultural practices learned from their ancestors, further improved by their oenological studies and continuous research, translates into good practices aimed to safeguard the natural cycles of the land.
Strictly manual labor, carried out with the same care and attention in each vineyard, a part of the land set aside to natural forest, thus renouncing to increase the production in favor of maintaining great biodiversity and an ideal microclimate, are the concrete signs of a commitment that continues in the cellar, with the maximum respect for the grapes and their natural times.
