Description
Still red from Piedmont, Barolo DOCG, 15% ABV, produced by Boasso. 0.75 L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Barolo born from the passion of the Boasso family, who have been producing wines of great character since 1980. The aroma is distinctly classic, with hints of vegetal tar, hot spices, and fruit that almost resembles black cherry in alcohol; then, towards the finish, a very subtle hint of very delicate rose and violet arrives. The color is a not-too-dark ruby red with garnet highlights. On the palate, notes of ash and ashes emerge, leading to a sweet, syrupy flavor of raspberry and cherry; the tannins are dense and ripe, with a vitality and exuberance that this land bestows.
