Beschreibung

Groviglio is the wine that accompanies a walk in a forest on the edge of the lake, walking among scented wild roses, biting into a crunchy cherry and then a fleshy raspberry. It is a ray of sunshine that filters through the branches while the morning mist rises between the bark of the first days of autumn, releasing refreshing balsamic notes, something indescribable and of extraordinary beauty.

Das Landwirtschaftsunternehmen Cà Maiol stellt heute eine Verbindung von Tradition und Modernität dar und besteht aus vier Farmhäusern. Das älteste, 1710 vom Notar Sebastiano Maioli erbaut und seit 1967 Hauptsitz der Aktivitäten, ist Cà Maiol.

Die Familie Contato hat im Laufe der Jahre die Ländereien Molino, Rocchetta und Storta angegliedert, wo neue Weinanpflanzungen vorgenommen wurden, um der stark wachsenden Nachfrage entgegenzukommen.
Im Zuge der Reorganisierung des Weingutes wurde ein moderner und geräumiger Weinkeller sowie ein architektonisch avantgardistischer Ausstellungsraum konstruiert, wo die Produkte des Weingutes verkostet werden können – angefangen beim Wein über die Grappe bis hin zum extra nativen Olivenöl der Gardasee-Region.

Geschichte The name Groviglio derives from Groppello. In the Brescia dialect the word ‘grop’ means ‘knot’ and the peculiarity of Groppello is that of recalling a knot in the shape of its particular bunch. Groviglio is therefore synonymous with ‘knot’ and for Cà Maiol it is a tribute to the dialect roots of the magnificent land from which it comes.
